Our mission is to engage the community in conversations about Red Hook's continuing story. We do this by collecting, preserving and promoting Red Hook's history, maintaining the historic Elmendorph Inn as a community center, creating dynamic public programs and partnering with community organizations. Interested in local history? Visit our Archives Room on Tuesdays to find:
- Stories, images and records of our people at work and play, of our farms, businesses, schools and churches
- Records of memorable events, important journals, letters, maps and
- Much, much more
And don't miss joining us at the Elmendorph for local gatherings every season of the year, from our ever-popular winter Soup and Chili nights to Hardscrabble Day and Dutch Christmas. For a look back at our past activities, read our 2014 Annual Report , 2015 Annual Report and 2016 Annual Report.
