Historic Tavern Trail at Rose Hill Farm

  • Rose Hill Farm 19 Rose Hill Farm Drive Red Hook, NY 12571 United States (map)

RSVP requested. See form below.

Join Dutchess County Historian William P. Tatum III at Rose Hill Farm for a presentation on the Prohibition history of Red Hook and the story of the Red Hook Steam Cider Company Raid, originally located on Route 9 south of the Village of Red Hook. Incorporated as a legitimate business in 1926, county and federal officials raided the site the following year, discovering two large stills and an intricate operating plant. Aside from being a fascinating story by itself, the Red Hook Steam Cider Company is a great way to tie into the long and exciting history of cider production in Red Hook.

The presentation and discussion is open to all, and an RSVP is requested. The event will accept and encourage donations to its partner organization, Historic Red Hook. The Taproom at Rose Hill Ferments will simultaneously host a food pop-up by local legend Misto. Make an evening of it! View Rose Hill’s full schedule of events on April 14 here.
