The scavenger hunt and self-guided tours will be available on October 1st at www.historicredhook.org/cemeterycrawl
Need an excuse to spend the month of October ambling through cemeteries? Historic Red Hook has you covered! Join us for a month-long cemetery crawl through the many hauntingly beautiful graveyards that cover the villages and countryside. Participants can compete for prizes by taking part in our scavenger hunt across five, historically significant Red Hook graveyards. While hunting, hear the stories of the graveyards’ residents in our self-guided walking tours.
while the scavenger hunt and walking tour can be done on your own time all month, be sure to check out our in person events at the Elmendorph Inn:
October 9th Cemetery Crawl Kick-Off at the Elmendorph Inn
3PM dedication of new historic marker at Cherry Street Methodist Cemetery
4PM blue grass concert on Elmendorph Green with Grass Fed band, local fall treats, and info on how to do the scavenger hunt and self-guided tour.
October 30th: Closing Award Ceremony at Elmendorph Green at 2 PM: Claim your prizes!
